“Movement is the process of connecting one intense point to another. These points of sensitive tension are urban spaces, corners where there is memory, struggle, emotion, and they need to be connected to other similar corners. Movement is the result of resistance. Movement is a critical factor for change and it’s never ending…”
Peto Poghosyan’s Movement solo exhibition consists of civil initiatives that occurred in various years – the pieces depict protests, movements, tense situations, all the way up to the “Armenian Velvet”. The 22 presented pieces have been created using transparent watercolor, without any other material being included. Water is constantly in motion and difficult to control.
Peto Poghosyan has presented his watercolor works at various prestigious international exhibitions and biennales, including the Shanghai International Biennale (2011), Shenzhen International Biennale (2013), the International Exhibition of the National Watercolor Society (USA, 2015), and the Masters of Watercolor International Invitational Exhibition (Saint Petersburg, 2017).
